Your right to delete your data

You can request deletion of your ConnecZen account and all data associated with it at any time. This page explains what gets deleted, how long it takes, and the two ways you can submit a request.

What gets deleted

When you submit a deletion request, we permanently remove:

  • Your account profile (email, name, timezone, preferences)
  • All Personal Space content: text messages, voice messages, audio files, transcripts, and AI responses
  • All derived insights extracted from your conversations (themes, people, habits, goals, meal logs, hydration logs, body signals, and other structured data)
  • Connected chat accounts (Telegram user ID, WhatsApp phone number) and any pending verification codes
  • Billing records held by ConnecZen (subscription invoices held by payment processors follow their own retention policies)

Group Space content: messages and insights you contributed to a Group Space remain visible to other members of that Space, since the conversation belongs to the group. Your authorship is anonymized on deletion. If you want a Group Space deleted entirely, the Space owner must request that separately.

How long it takes

We process deletion requests within 30 days of submission. Backups and copies held by sub-processors (memory graph, transit logs, payment processors) are removed according to those sub-processors' own deletion timelines, typically within 90 days.

How to request deletion

Option 1: In-app request (recommended for logged-in users)

Sign in at ConnecZen, go to Settings, find the Data & Privacy section, and click Request data deletion. We will record your request and confirm it on screen. Your account will be processed within 30 days.

Option 2: Email request

Send an email to privacy@conneczen.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Data deletion request”. Include the following in the body:

  • The email address on your ConnecZen account
  • Your connected chat handle if any (Telegram username or WhatsApp number)
  • An optional reason (helps us improve the product, not required)

We will reply within 7 business days to confirm receipt, and complete the deletion within 30 days of the original request.

WhatsApp users

If you connected to ConnecZen via WhatsApp and want to stop sharing data with us but keep your ConnecZen account, you can disconnect WhatsApp from your account in Settings → Connected Accounts without deleting the account itself. To remove all ConnecZen data, use either of the two options above.
