Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ConnecZen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

ConnecZen is a personal reflection companion that provides AI-powered text and voice conversations to help you process thoughts, identify patterns, and gain clarity. The Service is organized into Spaces:

• Personal Spaces for individual journaling, habit reflection, and self-tracking
• Group Spaces for shared contexts such as work collaboration or family

Each Space can enable optional Modules (e.g. Life Journal, Change, Meal Tracker, Work Collaboration, Family Recipes), which add reflection skills and derived insights. The Service is available through the web dashboard, real-time voice rooms, and messaging platforms including Telegram and WhatsApp.

Not a Mental Health Service

ConnecZen is NOT a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or medical advice. Our AI companions are designed for personal reflection and self-discovery, not for diagnosing or treating mental health conditions.

Not Medical or Nutritional Advice

The Meal Tracker module and any nutrition-related summaries, calorie estimates, macro breakdowns, or pattern flags it produces are for self-tracking and reflection only. They are NOT medical, nutritional, or dietary advice and are not reviewed by a licensed professional. Consult a qualified healthcare or nutrition professional before making decisions about your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, allergies, or specific dietary requirements.

Not Professional Coaching

The Change module (including habit reflections, goal observations, and identity-tier signals) is a self-reflection aid, not professional coaching, therapy, or behavioral health treatment.

Crisis Situations

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or any emergency situation, please contact emergency services (911 in the US) or a crisis helpline immediately. The Service is not equipped to handle emergencies.

AI Limitations

Our AI companions and the structured insights, summaries, and visualizations the Service derives from your conversations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unhelpful. The AI does not have perfect memory, judgment, or understanding. Treat all AI-generated patterns and suggestions as prompts for your own reflection, not as facts about you.

User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate account information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Not use the Service to harm yourself or others
• Not attempt to abuse, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Not use the Service if you are under 18 years of age
• Only share content in a Group Space that you are comfortable with the other members of that Space seeing
• Respect the contributions and privacy of other members in any Group Space you participate in

Group Spaces

When you create or join a Group Space, the messages, voice notes, and derived insights you contribute become visible to all other members of that Space. The Space owner controls membership and may add or remove members. You may leave a Group Space at any time; content you contributed before leaving remains visible to remaining members unless the Space is deleted. We are not responsible for how other members of a Group Space use or share content you choose to contribute.

Content and Conversations

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you share through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process your content to provide the Service's features, including AI responses, transcription, structured insight extraction, long-term memory storage, and visualizations.

Prohibited Content

You agree not to share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

Third-Party Platforms

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including OpenAI, Google, LiveKit, Supabase, Telegram, and WhatsApp. Your use of any of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of these third-party platforms.

Availability and Changes

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, including individual Modules or skills. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONNECZEN AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ConnecZen and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the settings page. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
